Dyson Supersonic

With no doubt, you probably haven’t missed the newest from Dyson : the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. A name to make all its competitors shiver. But then, with its price close to 500.-, does it really deserve its name ?

I’ve now been testing mine for 6 weeks. Received for Christmas, this gadget that made me vibrate has already found its place amongst the straighteners, curlers and other gear dedicated to make my mane shine. First observation : the packaging. The box for this new Dyson Supersonic is immeasurably large and heavy. It is also thanks to its weight (because- my husband would say) that I received the precious before the 25th, the suitcases for Mauritius being already above the authorized weight… Once the thick lid removed, I was face to face with my savior : the Dyson Supersonic was finally mine.

First test the next morning : it is light and very pleasant to handle. The fact that it is « short » allows a more precise drying and above all, it is definitely beautiful. 3 degrees of heat, 3 drying speeds and 3 tips that can be fixed with magnets. Nothing new so far. What was the most impressive to me was its discretion. It is much less noisy than other hairdryers, which is worth gold when you’re a mom that gets up before everyone else and do not want to wake up Miss who’s asleep.

But lets head straight to the facts. Is the hair as beautiful and shiny as the girl in the advertising ? Yes! Well almost huh. It will also depend on what they experience on a daily basis. But the device does miracles. The hair is softer, shinier and (almost) don’t need to be straightened. In addition it does not burn the skull, so it respects our lengths. On the other hand, I don’t think it dries quicker than any other…
